A Wrinkle in Time
By N. J.
Age Group: High School
Shattered my pride the last time, when she said she felt suffocated.
I peeked into the mirror to find a pretty woman who was hollow inside.
Lifeless, I knocked all doors of my home, thwarting myself on every damp wall,
Anguish and astonishment seeped through the cracks of them,
I crushed my back for a while.
The doors are closing now and I haven't moved an inch,
I wonder how long this will last?
A wrinkle in reality, she appears out of thin air,
The 10 year old self of mine.
An uncontrollable force of power to conquer rises in the pit of my stomach, when I see a tear drop from her brown eyes.
